Danny’s on the move at last

Danny Walker from Gateshead has hereditary cerebral palsy and a particular problem with his legs. The Sunshine Fund awarded him with a grant for a specialist trike in October 2006.

Riding fast along the footpath, little Danny Walker loves his new trike!

He often used to watch his sisters Claire and Rebecca play outside from his wheelchair, unable to join in. But, after a grant from the Sunshine Fund allowed his family to buy a brand new trike, he is enjoying himself every time they go out as he straps on his helmet and whizzes around after them in the street where they have lived all their lives.

His mum Lisa said: “The problem now is getting Danny off the trike he loves it that much”
