Bike Bliss for Young Chloe

Chloe White, from County Durham, can now join her families on bike rides since she received a tow-along bike from the Sunshine Fund.

Chloe White, of West Pelton, County Durham, has cerebral palsy after being born 13 weeks premature and used to need her mother Lynn or stepfather Tony Hall to help her along on her bike ... but not any more.

Thanks to the Chronicle’s Sunshine Fund she had been given a tow-along bike, which means she can now get out with all the family.

Lynn said: “Chloe is delighted with the bike, and so is her sister and Tony. It means we can go out on bike rides together as a family now. Before she got the bike one of us had to help her along.

“She doesn’t have to pedal a lot either, which means we can have a full day out.”

As well as allowing Chloe to join in, the bike also helps her movement. “Cerebral palsy doesn’t improve over time but things like this are really good for her and us. And we really appreciate the fact the Sunshine Fund could help us out with this.”
