Donations - Payroll Giving
You can help to make a difference to the lives of disabled children in the North-East every pay day.
Donating through your payroll is one of the most simple and tax effective ways you can support the Evening Chronicle Sunshine Fund. Regular gifts also allow us to plan ahead, secure in the knowledge that we have guaranteed income.
It is simple
All you have to do is complete the Payroll Giving Authorisation Form and hand it to your Payroll Department. You can choose to give weekly or monthly, and you can stop or change your donation when you like, just tell your payroll department, giving them one month’s notice.
It is tax effective
Donations come straight from your gross pay before tax, meaning that for each £1 you donate, you only pay 78p (if you pay tax at 22%) or 60p if you're a higher tax payer. So if you wish to give £10 a month, it will only cost you £7.80. The rest is contributed to the Evening Chronicle Sunshine Fund by the Inland Revenue.
In other words payroll giving lets you give even more at no extra cost to you.
Anyone can give if their pay or pension is taxed through PAYE and their employer offers a Payroll Giving Scheme. If there isn't a scheme already in operation, why not ask to set one up?
