Sunshine Run
Date: 7th July 2010
Venue: Newcastle Gateshead Quayside
Hundreds of Sunshine Fund supporters will gather on the Newcastle Gateshead quayside to raise funds for sick and disabled children.
Now in it’s ninth year, the Evening Chronicle Sunshine Run continues to inspire people to put on their running shoes and complete the scenic 5km route.
This years run will take place on Wednesday 7th July 2010 and will be started at 7pm by the Sunshine Fund VIP patron, and double Paralympic champion, Stephen Miller.
Accompanied by steel band music and cheering crowds, groups of friends and co-workers from across the region will then make their way along the course on the quayside footpath before crossing the Millennium Bridge to the finish on Baltic Square.
Thanks to event sponsors, ITPS (IT Professional Services Limited) and help received from Gateshead Harriers, the 2010 Sunshine Run could raise a record £30,000, but it needs your help!
If you would like to join the fun and enter into the Evening Chronicle Sunshine Run, please contact Angela Jepson for an application form on (0191) 201 6068 or email Angela Jepson at the Sunshine Fund

The Sunshine Fund pays for equipment that makes a significant improvement to the lives of disabled children in the North East.
Each year the fund donates thousands of pounds in grants that benefit both individuals and groups of children.
This is made possible by the fundraising efforts of local people and businesses that kindly support the fun.
Entry fee: £15 includes a tee shirt.
Aim to raise £50 in sponsorship.
