HOW SIX-YEAR-OLD’S RARE EATING DISORDER PUTS STRAIN ON WHOLE FAMILY 05 May 2007 TRAPPED IN OWN WORLD Family’s despair at boy’s bizarre eating disorder SIX-year-old Thomas Foreman ’s parents have to keep him under constant watch to stop him eating carpets, cushions, soil and dirt. Today his mother thanked the Chronicle after our Sunshine Fund bought a “Safe Space” for Thomas , a tent in his bedroom where he can sleep and play safely. Vicky, 38, a teacher, said: “ Thomas has an overwhelming desire to eat fluff. He also loves to eat gritty things. He will eat soil, dirt, sand and soot, and lick stones and sticks.’’ Read Full Story |
